This guide explains how to connect Zoom to your Amabrik booking widget, how each appointment gets its own Zoom meeting, and how to disconnect Zoom when you no longer need it. The integration is optional: a booking widget works without it.

What the Zoom integration does

When a visitor books a service you've set to meet over Zoom, Amabrik calls the Zoom account you connected and creates a new meeting just for that booking. The unique join link goes into the confirmation shown to the visitor, and into the calendar event when you've also connected Google Calendar or Microsoft 365. Every booking gets its own link, so you're never sharing one personal room across appointments.

Before you start

You'll need two things:

Add the app: connect your Zoom account

You connect Zoom from inside the booking widget editor, not from the Zoom Marketplace:

  1. Sign in to your Amabrik dashboard and open your booking widget.
  2. Open the Connect tab in the editor.
  3. Under Meeting location, choose Zoom.
  4. Click Connect Zoom. A Zoom sign-in window opens.
  5. Sign in to Zoom and approve the requested access. The window closes and the editor shows your account as connected.
  6. Click Save. Any service set to meet over Zoom now creates a Zoom link on every booking.

Your Zoom access and refresh tokens are encrypted on our server and never reach the browser.

Use it: host a service on Zoom

Set Meeting location to Zoom for the services you run online. From then on, each time someone books one of those services:

In-person services don't use Zoom: leave their meeting location set to in person, and only your online services will generate links.

Remove the app: disconnect Zoom

You can disconnect Zoom in two ways, and either one stops new Zoom links from being created.

From Amabrik

  1. Open your booking widget and go to the Connect tab.
  2. Under Meeting location with Zoom selected, click Disconnect.
  3. Amabrik deletes the stored Zoom tokens right away. Click Save.

From Zoom

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, Manage, Installed Apps.
  2. Find Amabrik and click Remove.

When you remove the app from Zoom, Zoom notifies us and we delete the tokens we hold for your account. After disconnecting, services set to Zoom stop generating links until you reconnect.

What Amabrik accesses and stores

The integration uses the minimum Zoom access it needs: creating a meeting for a booking, and reading your account email so the dashboard can show which Zoom account is connected. Amabrik does not read, store, or share your Zoom meetings, recordings, or contacts. The only Zoom data we keep is your OAuth access and refresh tokens, encrypted with AES-256-GCM, decrypted in memory only to call the Zoom API, and never written to logs.
