Give Amabrik access to your Wix site

If you’d rather we add the Amabrik snippet for you, you can invite us as a collaborator on your Wix site. This is safer than handing over your login: you stay the owner, we get only the access we need, and you can remove us in a couple of clicks once the snippet is live.

Before you start, make sure the site is on a paid Wix plan with a connected domain. Custom code isn’t available otherwise. The admin article explains how to check.

Invite Amabrik as a collaborator

You’ll invite the email address Amabrik gives you. You see that exact address right after you submit the Request Installation form, so use the one shown there.

1. Sign in to Wix and open your site dashboard.
2. In the left menu, go to Settings, then Roles & Permissions.
3. Click Invite Collaborators.
4. In the Emails field, paste the address Amabrik gave you.
5. Choose a role that can edit custom code. Pick Admin, or a custom role that includes developer tools (Velo) permissions. Developer tools permissions are what let us reach Settings, Custom Code.
6. Click Send Invites.

We’ll get an email, accept the invite, add the snippet, and confirm with you when it’s done. Invitation emails are valid for 30 days, so send it close to when you ask us to install.

Want a tighter role than Admin?

If you’d prefer not to grant full Admin, create a custom role first:

1. In Roles & Permissions, click Manage Roles, then Create New Role.
2. Give it a title like “Amabrik install”.
3. Under Permissions, enable the developer tools (Velo) permissions, which cover custom code.
4. Save the role, then invite us and assign it in the step above.

Fallback: a temporary login

Inviting a collaborator is the recommended way. If that isn’t possible for you, you can instead create a temporary, separate login for us with admin rights, rather than sharing your own password. After the install, delete that login or change its password. Never share the owner account’s main password.

Remove our access after the install

Once we confirm the snippet is live, take our access away:

1. Go to Settings, Roles & Permissions.
2. Hover over the Amabrik collaborator and click the More Actions icon.
3. Click Remove, then confirm Remove again.

Access is revoked right away and the collaborator seat is freed. The snippet keeps working: removing us doesn’t remove the code.

What email do I invite?

The exact address Amabrik shows you when you submit the Request Installation form. Don’t guess it. Use the one we confirm there.

Which role should I pick?

Admin is simplest. If you want something narrower, create a custom role with developer tools (Velo) permissions, since that’s what reaches Settings, Custom Code.

Is inviting a collaborator safer than sharing my password?

Yes. You stay the owner, we get scoped access, and you can remove us instantly. Sharing your login gives away full control of your account.

Will the snippet stop working when I remove Amabrik?

No. The code stays in your site’s Custom Code settings. Removing our collaborator access only ends our ability to sign in.

The invite expired. What now?

Invitation emails last 30 days. Just send a new one from Roles & Permissions, or use Resend invite from the More Actions menu.
