Give Amabrik access to your v0 project

The simplest way to get Amabrik onto your v0 app is to add it yourself. It’s usually one line pasted into the v0 chat, and you don’t have to share anything. If you’d still rather we did it for you, you can share the v0 project or invite us to your Vercel team, then take the access back once it’s live.

Easiest: paste the one line yourself

You don’t need to give anyone access. The “How to add Amabrik to v0” guide has a ready prompt you paste into the v0 chat, and v0 makes the edit for you. It takes a minute, nothing is shared, and you stay in full control.

If that works for you, follow that guide and you’re done. The rest of this article is only for when you’d prefer Amabrik to handle it.

Before you start (if you want Amabrik to do it)

• Have the email address Amabrik gives you ready. You’ll see it confirmed on screen when you submit the Request Installation form. Don’t guess it. Use the exact one we show you.
• Decide how you want to let us in: share the v0 chat (lighter), or invite us to your Vercel team (needed if you want us to deploy too). Both are explained below.

Option 1: share your v0 chat

v0 lets you share the chat that built your app. This is the lighter option.

1. Open your project in v0.app.
2. Click Share at the top right of the chat.
3. In the sharing dialog, choose how to share:
   • On a Team or Enterprise plan, you can invite the exact email Amabrik gave you directly, with Can view access.
   • On other plans, you can create an Unlisted link (anyone with the link can open it) and send that link to the Amabrik email.
4. Send the invite or the link to the Amabrik email.

With Can view access we can see the chat and the generated code, then duplicate it to suggest the edit. To have the change applied and deployed in your own project, use Option 2.

Option 2: invite Amabrik to your Vercel team

Because v0 runs on Vercel, you can add Amabrik as a member of your Vercel team. This lets us edit the project and deploy it.

1. Sign in at vercel.com and open the team that owns the project.
2. Go to Settings, then the Members tab.
3. Click Invite (or Add member).
4. Enter the exact email address Amabrik gave you when you submitted the Request Installation form.
5. Give a role that can edit the project and deploy. A Member role on the team covers what we need; avoid view-only roles, since they can’t make changes.
6. If your team also manages v0 seats from Vercel, make sure the invited member is allocated v0 access so we can open the project in v0.
7. Send the invite.

We’ll accept the invite, add the Amabrik snippet to app/layout.tsx so it runs on every page, deploy, and confirm with you when it’s live.

A note on seats and your plan

Inviting a member to your Vercel team can use a seat depending on your plan, which may affect your bill. You can remove the member as soon as the install is confirmed, which frees the seat again. If you’d rather avoid a seat entirely, the share-the-chat option (or just pasting the line yourself) avoids it.

Remove access after the install

Once Amabrik confirms the snippet is live, take the access back:

• If you shared the chat, open the Share dialog and remove the Amabrik email, or disable the unlisted link.
• If you invited a Vercel member, go to vercel.com, open the team, then Settings, Members, find the Amabrik email, and remove it.

The snippet stays in place either way. Removing our access does not remove the install, and you keep managing every widget from your own Amabrik dashboard.

What email do I share with or invite?

Do I have to leave the access in place?

No. Remove our access (or disable the share link) as soon as the install is confirmed. The snippet keeps working, and you manage your widgets from the Amabrik dashboard.
