Give Amabrik access to your Framer site
Invite Amabrik to your Framer project as an Editor so we add the snippet for you, or just paste the one line yourself. Remove the access after the install.
If you’d rather not paste code yourself, Amabrik can install the snippet for you. The safest way to let us in is to invite us to your Framer project as an Editor. That’s much safer than sharing your login, and you can remove the access the moment the install is done.
You’ll do this once. After we confirm the snippet is live, take the access away.
Worth knowing before you start: inviting an Editor is a paid-plan feature. Framer’s free plan doesn’t include collaboration. If you’re on the free .framer.website plan, the easiest route by far is to paste the one line yourself, which works on every plan. We cover that at the end.
Before you start
- You need to be the owner of the project (or an admin of the workspace) to invite members.
- Inviting an Editor requires a paid plan. On the free plan, use the “paste it yourself” route below instead.
- Have the email address Amabrik gives you ready. You’ll see it confirmed on screen when you submit the Request Installation form. Don’t guess it. Use the exact one we show you.
1. Open the project you want us to install on
- Sign in to Framer at framer.com.
- Open the project for the site you want Amabrik on.
2. Invite the Amabrik email as an Editor
- In the open project, click Invite (top right).
- Enter the exact email address Amabrik gave you when you submitted the Request Installation form.
- Set the role to Editor. An Editor can open Site Settings, edit custom code, and publish, which is everything we need. Don’t pick Viewer, since a Viewer can’t edit or publish.
- Send the invite.
If the Amabrik email doesn’t already have a Framer account, we’ll be prompted to create one when we open the shared project. Either way, we accept the invite, add the Amabrik snippet to Site Settings > General > Custom Code > Start of <head> tag, publish the site, and confirm with you when it’s live.
Inviting to a single project keeps us scoped to that one site. We can’t see your other projects.
A note on seats and your plan
Inviting an Editor uses a paid editor seat on your workspace, which can affect your bill depending on your plan. You can remove the member as soon as the install is confirmed, which frees the seat again. If a paid seat isn’t workable for you, use the route below.
Easiest alternative: paste the one line yourself
This works on every plan, including the free .framer.website tier, and it avoids inviting anyone:
- Open your site, go to Site Settings > General > Custom Code.
- Paste the Amabrik snippet into the Start of
<head>tag field. - Publish the site.
The “How to add Amabrik to Framer” guide walks through it step by step. It’s a single line, so for many people this is quicker than setting up an invite.
Remove access after the install
Once Amabrik confirms the snippet is live, take the access back:
- Open the project and click Invite again to see the member list.
- Find the Amabrik email in the list.
- Change its role or remove that member.
The snippet stays in place. Removing our access does not remove the install, and you keep managing every widget from your own Amabrik dashboard.
FAQ
What email do I invite?
The exact one Amabrik shows you when you submit the Request Installation form. Don’t use any other address. If you’re unsure, submit the form again to see it confirmed.
Which role should I give Amabrik?
Editor. It can open Site Settings, edit custom code, and publish, which is all we need. Don’t pick Viewer, since a Viewer can’t edit or publish.
I’m on the free Framer plan. Can I still invite you?
The free plan doesn’t include collaboration, so you can’t invite an Editor on it. Use the “paste it yourself” route above instead. It works on the free plan and takes a minute.
Will inviting Amabrik cost me a seat?
An Editor uses a paid editor seat, which can affect your bill depending on your plan. Removing the member after the install frees the seat. If you’d rather avoid it, paste the one line yourself.
Is sharing my login okay instead?
It works, but it’s less safe. Inviting an Editor means you never share a password and you control what we can do. If you do share a login, change the password right after we confirm the install. Better still, just paste the one line yourself.
Do I have to leave the access in place?
No. Remove our member as soon as the install is confirmed. The snippet keeps working, and you manage your widgets from the Amabrik dashboard.
